Sussex Police has appointed its first ever female Chief Constable.
Deputy Chief Constable Jo Shiner will take up the post on the 11th of July. She has set out her priorities as protecting communities, catching criminals and delivering an outstanding service to victims.
The new Chief Constable, who is also the National Policing Lead for Children and Young People said it is vital that young people are not unnecessarily criminalised.
