Police officers have carried out weapons sweeps in Reigate as part of a week of action against knife crime.
The operation, codenamed Sceptre, took place all last week across Surrey, with patrols and sweeps carried out in Reigate, Guildford and Woking.
Police also gave virtual talks to school children as they sought to join the national battle against knife crime.
Detective Superintendent Mark Chapman, who leads on tackling serious violence for the Force, said:
“The opportunity for amnesties and enforcement play an important part in preventing the carrying and use of knives in our county.
“We will continue to work with partners to tackle serious violence by thinking long term, working with our communities and continuously raising awareness of the dangers and consequences of carrying knives.
If you know someone who is carrying a knife and worried someone will get hurt, you can tell us what you know by calling 101. If you’d prefer not to speak to Police, you can give information to the independent charity fearless.org 100% anonymously.”
