Gatwick Airport’s Covid-19 Test Centre Website Crashes

The website for Gatwick Airport’s new Coronavirus test centre crashed over the weekend.

The screening centre at the airport opens today for passengers, airport staff and the general public to buy tests. The website problems meant travellers were unable to book tests before the scheme opened today.

The facility has been introduced to ease travel restrictions prior to the Government’s test to release scheme.  From 15th December, passengers arriving in England from countries not on the government’s travel corridor list can take a test after isolating for five days; a negative result means they won’t need to quarantine.

The ExpressTest website says that due to unprecedented demand, bookings are temporarily being taken via their call centre on 0800 0239323.  Alternatively passengers can email expresstest@cignpostdiagnostics.com to book a test.
