Police reveal outrageous excuses for breaking covid rules

Sussex Police have revealed some of the outrageous excuses used for breaching Covid legislation.

In the past week, the force has received 776 Covid related calls and have issued 192 fixed penalty notices.

Some excuses included two men who travelled from London to Hove to buy a pair of headphones and people who attended a gathering at Forest Row.

Police have also dealt with the abuse of public facing workers, including a bus driver who was spat at when he asked someone to wear a mask.
