Charlwood racing driver takes on 140-mile Comic Relief challenge

A Charlwood racing driver who had both legs amputated is to walk, cycle and kayak 140 miles in four days for Comic Relief.

Billy Monger was critically injured in a crash in 2017 aged 16, but was back behind the wheel within a year.

His challenge is set to start on 22 February, finishing at the Brands Hatch circuit.

The 21-year-old told the BBC that this would be the “toughest physical challenge he has ever taken”.
