A new memorial wall and garden will be opened at Dorking Cemetery later this year.

Families will be able to scatter their loved ones’ ashes in the garden and place a brass memorial plaque on the wall. It will provide a peaceful place for remembrance on the 14 acre site. The memorial wall will be made with handmade bricks matching those used when the cemetery was first built in 1855.

Next month, Mole Valley District Council’s Scrutiny and Cabinet committees will consider the charges for the new features.
