A motorcyclist was stopped by police for speeding and arrested for being over the limit by Surrey Police officers in a crackdown against speeding and dangerous driving.

Officers were out in Reigate and Banstead, Epsom and Tandridge late last week.

Several drivers were stopped for speeding, including one person doing 65 in a 30mph zone.
That driver was reported for a summons. A Surrey Police spokesperson said: “This is extremely dangerous and could result in death or serious injury”.

The motorcyclist was arrested for speeding, driving whilst over the prescribed limit for drugs and being in possession of a controlled substance.
