A pedestrian was run down by a dark coloured Ford which then fled the scene at Reigate’s Morrisons car park on Monday evening.

Police officers attended the Bell Street car park after hearing shouting between 6 and 6.30pm.

The pedestrian was left with minor injuries and the driver has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated bodily harm and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.

He is currently in custody while the investigation continues. Anyone who saw anything, or who has dashcam footage of the incident is asked to contact Surrey Police quoting crime reference PR/45210076621.
