A recent passing out parade celebrated 34 firefighters who joined Surrey Fire and Rescue Service during the pandemic.

The new recruits will be stationed across the county, including areas such as Banstead, Dorking and Guildford.

The service is currently recruiting on-call firefighters, who are members of the local community who may have other commitments outside of the fire service, but they either live or work nearby to an on-call fire station.
