The family of a woman who died in an ambulance collision in Salfords have paid tribute to her.
39-year-old Carmel Ryder was at the bus stop on Brighton road when the ambulance crashed into it last Thursday.
“We as a family are shocked and devastated by the loss of Carmel. She was so precious to us, a life partner, a daughter, a sister, an auntie, and so loved by many people. Anyone who knew her, knew she lit up any room she walked into.
“She grew up in Shepherds Bush and had many adventures before settling in Salfords, Surrey, where she was building her future with Barry.
“Carmel, as a hair stylist, was fortunate to find a profession she loved and was passionate about. She bought joy to colleagues and clients alike, which often led to friendships. Carmel had a real zest for life, she loved the outdoors and was never happier than when exploring something new. She was a keen cyclist, loved her fitness, loved books and good food.
“We would like to thank family and friends for their comfort and support at this difficult time and to join us in remembering Carmel for the amazing person she was.”
