A littering and fly tipping crackdown by Crawley Borough Council has continued over the summer. 

In the last two months, Community Wardens have issued 20 fixed penalty notices for littering, which require a payment of £80 in each case, or £50 if paid within 14 days. 

One non-payment of a fixed penalty notice resulted in prosecution for a resident with a total fine of £314; more than six times the cost of the original notice.
