Sussex police are investigating a late-night attack by burglars on a pensioner in her home in Crawley Down.
On Tuesday evening, the woman disturbed three masked men who had just broken into the rear of her house in Hophurst Lane.

One was armed with a crowbar, and another had a kitchen knife. They threatened her while they searched the house, leaving with some pieces of jewellery and a small locked safe.

The men are all described as white, slim, about 5’5″, in dark clothing and with dark face coverings
