Gatwick’s South Terminal To Reopen and Recruitment Continues

Gatwick Airport will reopen its South Terminal next month, after nearly two years of lying dormant.

Flights have been operating solely from the airport’s North Terminal since June 2020 to save on costs during the pandemic.

Activity will return to the South Terminal from Sunday 27th March in anticipation of a busy Summer season.  Stewart Wingate, Gatwick Airport’s Chief Executive spoke to BBC Radio Sussex about the new services:

The reopening of the South Terminal and the increased demand is positive news for the local job market.  Gatwick and Crawley are among the worst affected communities in the country by the impacts of the pandemic.

The Airport has begun recruiting new staff and held a job fair last week. Working in partnership with Jobcentreplus, 30 Gatwick employers attended the job fair.  As Gatwick’s Alison Addy explained to BBC Radio Sussex, there is a wide range of jobs on offer.
