Disruption continued over the weekend after Storm Eunice passed through the Susy Radio area.
The Joint Fire Control service for Surrey, and East and West Sussex, took over 500 weather related calls on Friday. West Sussex schools were closed on Friday prior to their half term break this week. Covid vaccine clinics across Surrey Heartlands were closed and Gatwick experienced disruptions to flights, trains and the shuttle service. South East Water has now restored supply to the East Grinstead area after residents were left without water since Friday.
A Met Office yellow weather warning remains in place today as Storm Franklin passes through the area. Although gusts from this storm are expected to be lower than Eunice, East Sussex Fire and Rescue has warned some structures may be already weakened and drivers should take it slowly and keep a watch for flying objects.
The fire service reminds people to call 105 for electricity incidents. If a tree is blocking the road, then call 0300 200 1003.
