Surrey Children and family services “improved” say Ofsted

Surrey County Council welcomes an  “improved” Ofsted grading for its children and family services.

A recent inspection found the authority had improved in all areas and The number of recommendations had more than halved in comparison to the 2018 inspection.

However, more improvements need to be made in order to achieve a “good” rating.

Tim Oliver, Leader of Surrey County Council said: “I’m glad that the immense amount of hard work to improve our Children’s Services has been officially recognised by Ofsted.

“We have painstakingly undertaken a complete review of everything we do, and it is clear from Ofsted that they now have confidence in our leadership, our processes and our staff.”
