A Crawley resident is one of just a handful of people across southern England to capture a fireball as it streaked across the night sky.
Chris Chatfield tweeted the image of the event which took place on Monday evening.
The citizen scientists project UK Meteor Network said that it was the tenth fireball which was reported to them so far this year.
People took to social media saying they saw a “bright light in the sky that lasted 4 or 5 seconds”.
