Surrey Police’s ‘Tandridge Beat’ closed roads around the A22 Eastbourne Road on Saturday evening after lots of haphazardly parked cars became an issue as people attended a music event at East Bysshe Showground, prompting the organisers to prevent further entry to the site.

The confusion came on Sunday as uncertainty into the event cancellation grew.

However the organiser released a statement informing revellers that ‘Lingfield Rocks’, a day of the best tribute acts in the UK, had been cancelled and went on to say that they were upset by the decision, were working with the authorities and that tickets will be refunded by your ticket provider.
