Allegations of breaching standards of professional behaviour have been proven against a Sussex Police officer after a four day misconduct hearing.
The officer known as PC X, faced allegations that in April 2021 he used excessive force in arresting a juvenile known as child A for a public order offence.
The panel found the accusation of excessive force was proven and amounted to gross misconduct.
The officer was given an extended final written warning, which will last three years.
