People in Sussex will benefit from £3.3 million of funding from the NHS to improve access to primary care and GPs.
Much of the funding will support practices to remain accessible and responsive to patients.
GP practices will work together to make more appointments available on weekday evenings and between 9 am and 5 pm on Saturdays. NHS Sussex is recruiting a bigger workforce of additional GPs, Practice Nurses and Healthcare Assistants with other key staff working extra sessions.
