Gatwick Airport has estimated around 630 new jobs will be created for local construction workers if plans to bring the Northern Runway into routine use goes ahead.

These jobs would be generated in the surrounding counties.

The roles would be would be split across all areas of the Northen Runway project.

At the peak development stages, nearly 1400 construction jobs would be created nationally.
