A virtual clinic run by East Surrey Hospital in Redhill using a new digital platform, has transformed the delivery of orthopaedic trauma care. 

The e-trauma and Virtual Platform Clinic has prevented almost 13,000 hospital visits since 2020, and has saved over 110,000 kg in CO2 emissions.  Referrals are now reviewed in 24 hours compared to the previous two week wait.

The clinic has recently earned two health industry awards; one for ‘Best Green NHS Initiative of the Year’, and for the ‘Best Covid-19 Solution for Community Care’.
