Scammers from America have been attempting to take hundreds of pounds from a UK pet rescue organisation.

Award winning Drone SAR for Lost Dogs UK is a free service that helps to reunite lost animals with their owners.

The group had their details cloned by the scammers, who have been attempting to charge distressed owners of lost pets for a service they have no intention of carrying out.

In the past seven years the legitimate group have managed to reunite 4500 pets with their owners across the UK, with a significant portion throughout Sussex and Surrey.

Graham Burton is the group’s founder, who has posted an image of the real logo versus the cloned one, to make people aware of what to look out for.

If you believe you may have fallen victim to the scammers, you can notify the police and quote the reference number shown on the image.
