Surrey Fire and Rescue Service has invested £55,000 in five new state of the art drones to help in life-threatening incidents.
Equipped with the latest technology including thermal imaging, and the ability to live stream footage directly to the control centre, the new drones are also available 24/7 and can fly for longer in more extreme weather.
Drones were first used by the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service in 2018 as part of a joint project with Surrey and Sussex Police.
As well as an essential tool in fire safety, they’ve provided vital support during flooding emergencies, hazmat incidents, and missing persons investigations.
