CCTV has been installed in Oxted and Hurst Green.
Representatives from a community collaboration gathered in Station Road East on Thursday for the official launch of the new CCTV system.
Cameras now cover Station Road East and West, Hurst Green and Master Park. Monitoring equipment is located in Tandridge District Council’s offices. The system is operated by Oxted Parish Council and provides Surrey Police with direct access to retrieve images and footage for evidence.
The community initiative aims to deter and reduce crime and antisocial behaviour in the area.
