Reigate and Banstead Residents Urged to Nominate their Favourite Sporting Hero in the Borough

It’s time to nominate your sporting heroes and give players, teams, clubs, coaches and volunteers the recognition they deserve for their sporting contributions.

With 12 award categories and a prestigious awards ceremony at Reigate Manor, this year’s awards promise to be bigger and better than ever.

There are specific award categories for young people and senior citizens, as well as an Inclusive Sports Award. New for 2025 is the Sustainability in Sport Award to recognise a commitment to improving the environment or reducing the carbon footprint of a sporting activity or club.

The Reigate & Banstead Sports Awards 2025 recognise performance and dedication to sport in the borough for the period between 1 January and 31 December 2024. Nominations can be made easily online until 31 January 2025 and shortlisted finalists and their nominees will be invited to the special ceremony on Friday 11 April.

Cllr Nadean Moses, Executive Member for Sustainability and Leisure says: “Sport plays a vital role in our communities – helping people of all ages and abilities to stay healthy and connected. The Reigate & Banstead Sports Awards celebrates all those who keep our sports clubs and teams running; those who motivate and inspire; as well as those who achieve to the best of their potential.

“I encourage anyone who has benefitted from community sport this year to nominate their heroes. I wish everyone nominated the best of luck and look forward to seeing you at the Awards Ceremony in April.”
