Two houses near Horsham were broken into in the space of two days and a large amount of jewellery was stolen.
The first burglary happened late Tuesday morning (16 September) at a home in Dutchells Copse, Horsham, when a quantity of gold jewellery was stolen.
On Wednesday morning, (17 September) a home in College Road, Southwater, was burgled and more gold jewellery and cash was taken.
In total more than £40,000 worth of jewellery was stolen at the two properties.
Sussex Police said that in each case the intruders smashed their way into the homes and escaped with gold jewellery.
They believe the burglaries could be linked, and would appreciate hearing from anyone who was in the area at the time.
