Local police are reminding people of the firearms amnesty currently running until this Friday (21st November)
If you have any firearms, including antique items, and you’re not licensed you should hand them in at your local police station. Remember you’re committing an offence even if you’re storing weapons for someone else.
Anyone surrendering a firearm during the amnesty won’t be prosecuted, but if it’s found that they have been used in a crime, that would be investigated.
