Saturday Night in Merstham saw a Cardboard village appear outside the Battlebridge Scout hut.

20 volunteers made up of youth members, supporters and local councillors gave up their time to experience sleeping rough and being homeless as part of the national “YMCA Sleep Easy” event.

The constructions in cardboard with plenty of tape to hold them together proved challenging for some.

 

 

 

 

 

 

A very cold and unshaven Councillor Frank Kelly from Merstham braved the night in a cardboard box at temperatures around 2 degrees spoke to Susy Radio.
