A vehicle containing items thought to be connected to recent burglaries in East Surrey was found at the scene of a collision.
A Sledgehammer, pick-axe, ladders and screwdrivers were discovered in a grey BMW which had collided with a fence on Holmthorpe Avenue in Redhill Saturday evening.
Detectives were initially called to Redstone Hill around half-past six after receiving information that a person was acting suspiciously in the rear garden of a property. When police arrived, a vehicle was seen driving away.
A number of reports then came in from members of the public concerned with erratic driving. Police then arrived at the scene of the collision. The occupants had left the vehicle.
