A 33 year old man from Redhill has been arrested following a serious assault near the East Surrey Hospital yesterday evening (Thursday 18th June).
The victim, a man in his 60s received serious head and facial injuries when he was assaulted in his own car .
The attacker walked up to the car and opened the passenger door and got in. After an argument he struck the victim in the face before running away.
The victim has been taken to the East Surrey Hospital.

The man remains in police custody while the investigation continues. –
