A man who was killed in a hit and run accident in Reigate in the early hours of Saturday morning was a young soldier who’d taken part in the Trooping of the Colour last week.

20 Year old Ben Regan of the Coldstream Guards died after he was hit by a car in Bell Street close to Joules Bar at around 2am.

The driver failed to stop at the scene.

Since then, Surrey Police have told us that a man in his 20s was arrested on Saturday afternoon in connection with the accident.

He’s been bailed until August.
