Nearly £200,000 confiscated from drugs trafficking couple in Burstow

A husband and wife from Burstow have been ordered to pay nearly £200,000 obtained from drugs trafficking.

69 year-old Michael Agius and Lydia Camilleri-Agius, 57, are subject to confiscation orders under the proceeds of Crime Act.

Camilleri-Agius has been given three months to pay over £185,000 and is required to sell or remortgage her property to pay for this.

Mr Agius must pay over £6,000 which comprises of cash seized from the home address.

Both face an extension to their custodial sentence until they cover the cost.
