With heatwave conditions forecast this week a small army of Surrey County Council staff is ready to ensure vulnerable people stay safe.

Social workers and care staff will make extra calls and visits to frail and older people across the county.

They are also urging a spirit of teamwork and are asking residents to check on neighbours, friends and family who may be affected by the heat.
