Fanny’s Farm Shop in Merstham is to close next month following the death of its owner Fanny Maiklem in June.
The shop in Markedge Lane which has been open since 1979 will close its doors for the last time on September the 12th.
Mrs Maiklem’s daughter Nellie Budd told BBC Surrey that the shop was not the shop without her. Fanny’s Farm Shop was Fanny.
She said that the decision to sell was made by the whole family and that many people had reacted with sadness to the closure announcement.
She added “We have fantastic memories and I am glad so many other people have lovely memories”
