Mourners urged to check travel arrangements for Monday

Special web pages have been put up by both Surrey and Sussex councils with information on how people can pay their respects to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Those wishing to travel to any of the royal palaces are being told to expect large crowds and long waits.

Crawley MP pays tribute to Her Majesty the Queen

Crawley’s, MP Henry Smith, has paid tribute to Her Majesty the Queen and talked with fond memories about when she visited the town.

In 1950, the then-Princess Elizabeth officially opened Manor Royal, after the Princess herself had chosen the name.

Her Majesty, along with the Duke of Edinburgh visited Crawley a total of 6 times, with the last being in 2006 at the opening of the new Thomas Bennett Community College.

In addition to speaking in Parliament, the Crawley MP has also paid his respects to Her Majesty, by signing the book of commemoration at the Town Hall.
