This month Tess Lewsey looked at novels to read whilst curled up in front of the fire on a cold winter’s day and also DIY books.

The recommended authors mentioned include Bill Bryson, Agatha Christie, Val McDermot, Sue Grafton and Kathy Wrights. Also the Call the Midnight series by Jennifer Worth and the Poldark books by Winston Graham.

And the DIY books suggested the Haines manual “Women’s Home DIY”, Sarah Beeny’s “100 DIY Jobs: The Essentials Made Simple” and Geoffrey West “A Guide To Major House Repairs”
