38 families in Tandridge are currently living in temporary accommodation and waiting for a home.
The Council has responded by starting a building initiative to provide more affordable housing in the area.

Residents in some parts of Merstham were without water today after a pipe burst.
It happened around 9am this morning when water flooded Shepherd’s Hill Road – residents on twitter described it as like a ‘geyser’.
Transport was disrupted and bottled water was available while the repairs were made.

A cyclist has suffered minor injuries after a hit and run in Crawley.
The 18-year old was hit by a silver car on Wednesday (9th Nov) in Seymour Road.

Five groups helping vulnerable people in Crawley have been awarded more than £30,000.
It comes from the Safer Crawley Partnership which provides practical support and helps to make the streets safer.
The groups cover a range of issues such as homelessness, alcohol problems and sexual violence.
