Four Murder Suspects Released On Bail

The four people from Crawley who were arrested on suspicion of murder have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 24 and a 22-year-old woman and two 20-year-old men, have been bailed until 9 August.

It comes after the murder of Sam Caulfield from Mayfield, who was found with a serious injury in Crawley. He later died in hospital.

Family Pay Tribute To Sam Caulfield

The family of Sam Caulfield, have payed tribute to the 20 year old after he was killed on Saturday.

His family said that Sam was always smiling and looking out for people and he is going to be so deeply missed.

Police were called to Spencers Road in Crawley at around 3am on the 18 June.

Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team arrested four local people on suspicion of murder.

Southern Rail Strike Update

Railway passengers have suffered delays, disruption and cancellations during a 24-hour strikes on Southern rail.

RMT members voted for the action in protest at driver-only trains and a change of role for conductors.

Southern services have been hit by staff shortages – blamed on high levels of sickness – in recent weeks, leading to protests by travellers in Brighton.

It’s advised that you check your service, as some end at 16:30.

Purple Bus Celebrates 21st Birthday

The Purple bus will be in Cowfold Village this week to celebrate its 21st birthday on an epic scale – with a party for buses.

Celebrating more than two decades of making a difference to the lives of young adults, people and fellow youth service buses are invited to the Village Green on 22nd June from 4-7pm.

It was originally formed by West Sussex County Council Young People’s Service and Action in Rural Sussex with other local councils, housing associations and Sussex Police.

The Purple Bus, which runs several evenings a week in areas where there is little or no youth activities, was used by around 600 young people aged between 13-21 last year.

Susy 103.4 Covers Horley EU Debate

On June 11th Susy 103.4 was invited to Horley for a debate on the EU Referendum.

The debate was chaired by Andrew Baird, Deputy Chair of the East Surrey Conservatives.

Speaking for the remain campaign were East Surrey MP Sam Gyimah and Richard Ashworth MEP, speaking for the exit campaign were Crawley MP Henry Smith and MEP Daniel Hannan.
