Oxted & Limpsfield Cricket Club have paid tribute to a member who was shot dead whilst on holiday in Trinidad.

22 year old Adrian St. John was robbed at gunpoint Sunday evening.

Adrian was captain of the Chris Gayle Academy London team and also played in the first team for Oxted & Limpsfield Cricket Club.

In a statement on the Club website, Chairman Phil Traynor has described Adrian as ‘ fun loving, friendly, cricket mad and always had a kind word for his fellow club members, even if he scarcely knew them’.

A firearm is thought to have been used in a robbery in Horley.

Two suspects are believed to have entered the jewellery shop in Victoria Road yesterday morning shortly before 9.30 and threatened a member of staff.

They escaped on foot with a quantity of jewellery.

The suspects are described as white men in their late 30’s to early 40s, tall and slim, and wearing flat caps.  One had a beard.

A cyclist who was treated by air ambulance medics in Merstham last summer was featured in a documentary last night.

The 43-year-old father of three suffered multiple fractures to his face and spine as well as a bleed on the brain following his collision with a car in May.

The Redhill-based Kent, Surrey and Sussex air ambulance doctor and paramedic responded by car and gave emergency assistance at the road-side, putting the cyclist into an induced coma.

He was then taken by ambulance to the Major Trauma Centre at St. George’s Hospital for further treatment.

Channel 4’s 24 Hours in A&E featured the cyclists’ arrival at the Centre and news of his scans.

Musical instruments are among items stolen from a bungalow in Broadbridge Heath.

A Spanish guitar, mandolin, banjo and violin were taken in the haul along with jewellery, a flat screen TV, bedding and power tools.

Intruders are thought to have broken into the property in Old Wickhurst Lane sometime between 7th and 13th March.

Six designer watches and two bracelets have been stolen in a burglary in Horsham.

The offender broke into the three-bedroom house in Crawley Road during daylight hours on Monday.

A rear patio door was smashed to gain entry.
