Tributes paid to Paul Keenor

Tributes have been paid to a man who died in a collision in East Grinstead.

23 year-old Paul Keenor was in his car when it hit a wall near his home in Ashurst Wood on Saturday.

Despite having type 1 diabetes Paul was a keen rugby player and swimmer.  He was a builder who established his own business and had qualified to drive the appliance for the fire service at Forest Row.

He was responding to an alert the night he died.

Crawley redevelopment given the go ahead

The redevelopment of Queens Square in Crawley has been given the green light.

It follows a consultation held in November where a ‘curved’ design emerged as the preferred way forward.

£3 million has been set aside to revitalise the area which includes universal accessibility; a large flat space for events as well as smaller sub-spaces; curved planters and landscaping.  The Bandstand will also be refurbished and rehoused in the Memorial Gardens.

Work is due to get underway early next year and should be completed by the autumn.

Possible sighting of missing girls in Crawley

Two girls who have gone missing from their homes are believed to be in Crawley.

14 year-old Amasia Patel was last seen late Sunday night in St. Leonards-on-Sea. Chloe Woolsey, also 14, was reported missing from Worthing early Monday morning.

The girls are friends.

A taxi driver has confirmed he dropped off two girls matching their description in Crawley.  There has been a possible sighting at St John Baptist Church in Church Walk in the town, thought to have been just after 9am Monday.
