Men Jailed for Tilgate Attack

Two men have been jailed and face deportation, for attacking night fishermen in Crawley.

Modestas Kubilius, 24, a builder from Crawley and his friend Gintas Piscelinas, 26, unemployed from London both pleaded guilty and were jailed for a total of four years and 34 months respectively at Lewes Crown Court on November 21st.

In the early hours of Sunday, May 11 three men were night fishing at Tilgate lake when they were approached by Piscelinas and Kubilius. An argument ensued and the men attacked one of the victims with an air pistol, shooting him at point blank range.

Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt but police have told us that the victims have suffered badly from anxiety following on from what happened.
