Tens of thousands of people turned out to see some of the world’s greatest cyclists make their way from Camberley to Brighton in September.

Criminal gang linked to 40 burglaries across Sussex

A number of burglaries across Sussex are believed to have been carried out by the same group of criminals.

Officers believe the people involved vary between locations but are part of the same organisation which may be responsible for 40 burglaries.

Between 17 September and 28 October areas targeted included Copthorne, East Grinstead, Crawley and Crawley Down.

A silver Audi has been used as a getaway car, using false number plates.

The burglars are targeting homes in some of the more expensive areas.  They break doors or windows to get in and after searching the properties steal items with a preference for gold jewellery.
