Crawley Town Pre Season News

Crawley Town suffered their first defeat of the pre-season campaign at the hands of Championship side Fulham on Saturday afternoon at the Broadfield Stadium.

Two first half goals from the Cottagers were enough to separate the two sides in a fairly even contest.

It was the first chance for fans to see the new-look Crawley team with nine new signings starting for John Gregory’s side.

Next up for the Reds is a home encounter on Wednesday with local rivals Brighton and Hove Albion.

Sussex Clampdown on FGM

Police are hoping to identify victims of female genital mutilation by raising awareness of the practice.

Along with the Border Force, Sussex Police will speak to passengers from countries where FGM is an issue over the summer holidays to see if medical attention is needed and to prosecute offenders.

Intelligence suggests that girls most at risk of FGM are taken back to their home country at the beginning of school holidays – this way their wounds heal before they return to the UK.
