A consultation has been launched for Crawley residents to help shape the future of council services.

It’s aimed at providing an understanding of how economic pressures have affected residents over the last couple of years.

The survey closes on 23 September and can be completed via the Crawley Borough Council website.

A Surrey organisation which helps autistic girls, has received nearly £50,000 from the Mental Health Investment Fund.

Appeer CIC recently received the funding, which enabled organisers to deliver support sessions for the young girls, along with their parents and carers.

The project focuses on creating safe, supportive spaces where autistic girls can make friends, and explore their interests and talents.

The Mental Health Investment Fund is a joint fund from Surrey County Council and NHS Surrey Heartlands ICB, and aims to support projects that enhance the mental health and wellbeing of people across the county.

Sussex police are appealing for help in identify three individuals following a theft in Three Bridges.

Officers were called to a report of a theft from Iceland, Haslett Avenue between 7.45pm and 7.55pm on 2 September.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Sussex Police.

Tandridge District Council has adopted its new corporate plan for the next four years.

Its set out a vision for the council by identifying six key priorities which include enhancing the environment, delivering affordable housing and create a thriving economy.

The plan’s been developed following consultation with residents, local businesses and other partners and reflects the communities’ aspirations and needs.

Traders in Dorking are worried that a sinkhole which emerged is damaging their businesses.

The hole first appeared in West Street on the 30th August causing the road to be closed and investigated by Thames Water.

Engineers have been surveying the site to plan repair works but local traders fear it could be several weeks before the repairs are complete.

A Thames Water spokesperson said: “Due to the pipe’s location, we are also working with the local council to agree traffic management measures, so that our teams can safely carry out the repair.”

They added an apology to residents, businesses and drivers who were affected by the works.
