A man has escaped with minor injuries after being knocked down in a hit-and-run incident in Crawley.

The 33 year-old victim was in collision with a car in High Street around 1.30am on Friday.  The vehicle did not stop.

The man was unconscious for several minutes before being taken to hospital for treatment for cuts and bruises.

A 40 year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm.

He has been released on bail until March.

A CCTV image of a man wanted in connection with an affray in Reigate has been released by Surrey Police.

The incident occurred outside the Red Lion public house in Reigate High Street just after 1 o’clock the morning of 1st November.

Police arrived at the scene to find a man with bruising and swelling to his left eye, bruising to his left cheek and scratches on both arms.

Three people are believed to have been involved; two men both in their twenties have been arrested on suspicion of affray and released on bail.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident in Dorking.

Two men suffered facial injuries as a result of an attack the early hours of Saturday 13th December near Horsham Road.

The 22 year-old suspect has been released on conditional bail while the investigation continues.

Fire crews were called to a moped which had been set alight in Crawley.

The vehicle was completely destroyed by the blaze in Seaford Road Sunday afternoon.

It is being treated as a deliberate ignition.
