Don’t Let Your Drone Cost You

Sussex Police are warning you to make sure your UAV doesn’t fly you into trouble this Christmas. UAVs – unmanned aerial vehicle or mini radio controlled flying machines – are likely to be in many people’s Christmas stockings this year.

It’s your responsibility to know when and where you can fly them as they have the potential to hurt people and even endanger other aircraft. And of course you could end up with a large fine!

The Civil Aviation Authority has a guide as to the regulations governing UAV use and it’d be a good idea to have a look at their website to see what you can and can do.

For guidance on what you can and cannot do with a UAV, visit www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?CATID=1995.
