Recycling Extended in Tandridge

Tandridge residents will soon be able to re-cycle a wider range of materials from home.

The council is extending the existing service to include textiles, shoes, small electrical items and batteries.

The new scheme comes into force on December the first.

Horsham Rape

Police are appealing for information after a woman was raped in Horsham Park on Tuesday 28th October.

The 40 year old from Horsham was attacked around 11am by a white man, described as being between 40 and 50 with grey hair and stubble. He is around 5’6 and was wearing a green coat.

The attack took place close to the North Parade end of the park.

Prevent Survey

A survey to find out how much young people know about the Prevent strategy, which aims to support and safeguard them from the risks of terrorism, has been launched in Reigate and Banstead by Surrey Police.

It’s being sent to local schools and colleges to find out if young people between the ages of 14 and 19 know how to report their concerns.

The survey will be running for the next six weeks and there’ll also be focus groups to support its delivery along with access to the survey via social media.

Hi-Tech Weather for Surrey

This winter drivers in Surrey will be given better protection from Ice and Snow with a new hi-tech weather forecast.

Surrey County Council is introducing route-specific forecasts that focus on which roads will be coldest and need advance salting rather than whole areas.

The new forecasts are being introduced on the 11 priority gritting routes with one of the biggest swings in temperatures across an area including Mole Valley, Tandridge and Reigate & Banstead.
