Old Victorian Garden

Have you ever wondered about the secrets of the old Victorian Garden in Worth Park?

At a free open day Horsham District Archaeology Group will be giving tours of the Park’s archaeology site.

They will talk about how they uncovered new evidence about the famous landscape which was designed by Victorian garden designers, James Pulham and Son.

There will be lots to do for the family with archaeology activities for kids and a chance to handle some of the finds discovered.

The Open Day takes place this Saturday (12th July) at Worth Park.

Cruel Facebook Messages

A facebook page has been asking people to post cruel messages about specific Crawley police officers.

Local MP Henry Smith, has expressed his disgust at the nasty remarks and reported the page to the social media site.

He has called for people to thank the police for the great work they have been doing in the area reducing crime and keeping Crawley residents safe.

Fire in Worth

A woman was rescued from a ground floor flat in Worth on Tuesday 8th July along with her pet dog and rabbit.

A man at the scene was treated for smoke inhalation and is recovering.

The pet dog sadly died because of the smoke it inhaled and the burns it got.

The fire service believes the fire started by accident.

The house is badly damaged by the smoke.

South Godstone Playground Vandalism

A playground in South Godstone is being targeted by vandals who are spreading dog mess all over the play equipment.

Three times in the last week the dog bin was emptied and the contents was smeared all over Hunter’s Chase playground and fencing.

The park was left in a state on Wednesday 2, Thursday 3 and Sunday 6 July and police are appealing for witnesses.

Crawley is a Great Place for Business

Crawley has got recognition as a great place to have a small business and to grow a start up.

Crawley has the most small to medium enterprises that operate in national interests.

It also comes 10th in growing businesses which helps to create jobs and build up wealth.

This is all according to the Centre for Cities 2014 Small Business Outlook report
