Weekend Sports Review

Crawley Town eased their League One relegation fears with an impressive 2 – 0 away win that dented MK Dons’ slim play-off hopes.

The result means The Reds are now six points clear of the relegation zone with two games in hand.

Meanwhile in the Ryman League, Crawley Down Gatwick had a nightmare Saturday afternoon, going down 5 -0 at home to Leatherhead while Merstham suffered a 3 – 1 away defeat at Peacehaven. Good news for Redhill, as they managed a 3 – 1 home win against Hythe Town.

Elsewhere, Horley Town lost 2 – 1 at Hanworth Villa but it was a good result for South Park who ended up 1 – 0 winners at home to Camberley Town.

Easter Egg Waste

Watch out how much waste we create over Easter this spring.

That’s the message West Sussex County Council are sending out to prevent waste by buying Easter Eggs with less packaging.

And if Eggs don’t have a plastic box that’s even better as currently only plastic bottles can be recycled at the county’s Recycling Facility.

80 million eggs are sold across the UK each year, which means thousands of tons of wasted cardboard and foil wrappers.
