The County Council unveiled a document at the start of the year which highlighted more than 50 ways it had worked to improve efficiency and effectiveness of services, including joining forces with emergency services and health organisations in Surrey and Sussex.

If this annual target is met, Surrey County Council says savings for local taxpayers would reach £200 million in three years.
