Potholes Repaired in Surrey

Surrey County Council has said to have repaired around 18,500 potholes across Surrey since the beginning of this year.

This is 4000 more than they repaired this time last year.

The council have set up a major operation to repair the roads affected by last winter’s floods, which left it with an estimated bill of £15m.

Nearly 30 repair squads – double the normal number – are working across the county in a four-week push.

The council plans to fix up to another 17,000 potholes over the coming weeks.
